WhatsApp, a 3 year old messaging products which is one of the mostly used messaging service, lately bought by Facebook for 19 billion dollars. A great app used by almost all smartphone owners for all sorts of purposes had a serious flaw in terms of privacy. The whatsapp display picture which is visible to everyone to those who has your number, the excited thing which one put as status visible to everyone, also the last at.
Whatsapp had been a great tool to stalk someone by just knowing their mobile number. But now this concern is addressed. Whatsapp team in their recent Android app update had implemented a new account privacy settings feature to enable user to filter who all can see ones' Display picture, status update and last seen time.

This privacy settings can be found in Settings -- Account -- Privacy.
For now the options provided to filter those who can see your personal informations are Everyone, My Contacts and Nobody. My thought It would be better if we can choose specific groups for these filters.
